In the late 1990s, between 1997 and 1998, François Li discovered DJing through the mixtapes of the era’s top hits. Inspired by the disco rhythms and iconic 80s tracks, he began to shape his own style.

Self-taught and passionate, François honed his skills in his bedroom, mixing on an old turntable for pure enjoyment. Driven to grow, he soon expanded his musical exploration.

François started out playing small gigs at birthday parties, weddings, and local clubs. His talent quickly earned him spots at some of Mauritius's largest festivals.

While he still loves 80s to 2000s hits, François has embraced tech house and progressive house, diversifying his sound.

Over the years, François has built a reputation as a master of the warm-up set, sharing the stage with renowned DJs like Tiësto and Martin Solveig at iconic parties in Mauritius.

For François Li, being a great DJ is about staying in tune with trends, reading the crowd, and mixing the right tracks at the right moments—a skill he has perfected over time.
